Best Boots in Austin

If you are staying in downtown Austin and walk across the Congress Avenue bridge into South Austin, you will find ample shopping. As you already know, I love shoes and I even love Cowboy Boots. So, when walking across the bridge, I stumbled on a handcrafted boot store, Heritage Boots, also known as the Best Boots in Austin.

Handcrafted Boots

Heritage Boots have handcrafted boots. As the website states, the boots have a retro-vintage style and inspired by detailing from the 1930s thru the 1960s.

The website states, “we are old-school merchants who are proud to offer you one-of-a-kind pieces, artwork, small leather goods, utilitarian-chic home goods, hand-crafted silver, books, and inspired finds.”

And you know what? They ain’t kidding! The boots in their shop on Congress Avenue are like no other boots I have seen. Each one is unique and they only make 10 -15 boots a year!

You can’t touch the boots. You need to have a salesperson help and she will find you the right size.

Since they are handcrafted and they make only a few a year, the boots are not cheap. They range in price from $500 and up.

The detail on the boots is incredible

I couldn’t resist. My heart was pounding so hard when I went into the Heritage Boots, the best boots in Austin. I tried on a pair, called Freya Peewee, I loved but didn’t buy them at first. My son was trying to convince me not to buy because of the price. But then we went into two other stores along the strip and although the boots were much cheaper there, they didn’t compare to Heritage Boots.

I ended up going back. I saw a pair of blue cowboy boots with such beautiful detail and stitching, I couldn’t resist. They were simple, yet elegant and I knew I could find numerous outfits in which to match them up.

The Freya Peewee was named for the Norse goddess of love and beauty.

In addition, I also realized that I do have other cowboy boots in my closet that are handcrafted and decided to pull them out and start wearing them again. The thing about cowboy boots is, you can always wear them. They never go out of style and look great with a pair of jeans.

Check out the detailing and the stitching. The fabric overlays on top of the leather.

There were some boots that were more design-heavy than the ones I actually purchased but there was something about these boots that made me smile.

If you’re ever in Austin, Texas, check out Heritage Boots on Congress Avenue. You won’t be disappointed that I sent you there!
